Freshly Formed ZeniMax Online Sattelite Studio Working on a "new, unannounced AAA IP"

The Elder Scrolls Online developer ZeniMax Online, has opened a new satellite studio in San Diego, California that will work on “a new, unannounced AAA IP.”

The news was shared by Quentin Cobb – formerly of Sony and Daybreak Game Company – who recently joined ZeniMax Online as a senior game designer, working on its mysterious unannounced AAA intellectual property.

Cobb is joined at the new ZeniMax Online satellite studio by other games industry veterans like Alex Sulman, Chris Kovach, TJ Madigan, and John Bautista who’ve worked for EA DICE, Activision and Sony, among others.

Cobb also pointed out that ZeniMax Online is hiring across several of its locations. A look at its careers page reveal that the developer is looking for people to work on “both The Elder Scrolls Online and multiple unannounced projects.”

It’s unclear what this project is at the moment or when we might see it coming out but, judging by the silence surrounding it, it’s probably safe to assume that it won’t be in the near future.

Earlier this year, ZeniMax Online’s parent company ZeniMax Media was acquired by Microsoft.
