World of Warcraft: Shadowlands Release Times - When Does the Expansion Launch?

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is almost upon us and, if you’ve diligently slain members of the Cult of the Damned during its pre-patch event, you’re likely wondering about the expansion’s release times.

Knowing WoW: Shadowlands release times is rather important, especially if you plan on hopping in as soon as possible and braving the perils of its new zones.

Historically, the MMORPG’s expansion launches have proven to be quite volatile periods. Aside from long queue times, there’s a chance that lag or disconnects will make their presence felt.

Of course, Shadowlands could prove to be the expansions that breaks away from that pattern and, luckily, we won’t have long to wait until we find out whether or not that’s the case.

WoW: Shadowlands is slated for a November 23/24 release date, depending on your region. Here are its release times in different cities across the world:

  • Los Angeles – November 23, 3 PM PST
  • New York – November 23, 6 PM PST
  • London – November 23, 11 PM GMT
  • Ankara – November 24, 2 AM TRT
  • Seoul – November 24, 8 AM KST
  • Sydney – November 24, 10 AM AEDT

Website Wowhead has compiled a longer list of World of Warcraft release times, targeting even more cities.

If you haven’t opened the Battle.net client recently, it’s a good idea to do so prior to launch, as that will allow the background downloader to do its job and significantly reduce the quantity of data you’ll need to download on launch day.

The expansion’s pre-patch went live on October 14. It squished the maximum character level to 50, introduced a new leveling experience, alongside a starter zone – Exile’s Reach– that does a better job at familiarizing players with their classes.

New customization options, class changes, and handy navigation markers were also added. Launch day will enable players to explore the new areas in the Shadowlands while adding the Covenant and Soulbind systems that feed into both story and progression.

Last week, Blizzard also released a new trailer for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands that briefly showcases the four Covenants while giving us a closer look at the Jailer.
